Hello Fellow DeKalb County Republicans,
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day and had the opportunity to celebrate the special women in our lives who have inspired us and to show an
appreciation for all they do. As eloquently stated by President Ronald Reagan, “[Mothers] shape the America we know today and are now molding the character of our country tomorrow.” While this profound statement was made nearly forty years ago, I believe that this concept is even more important today as we prepare for the 2022 Mid-Term Elections.
This past weekend at our DeKalb GOP Breakfast, we heard from U.S. Representative Barry Loudermilk who covered a range of topics from the latest in election integrity to include HR-1/S-1, the shortfall in the dismal jobs report, reopening America, standing with President Donald J. Trump and the overall optimism of taking back the House and Senate in the 2022 Mid-Term Elections.
During my campaign for DeKalb GOP Chairman, my number #1 commitment to DeKalb Republicans was to restore “FITness – Faith, Integrity and Trust” in our
elections. And one of my most important responsibilities as Chairman is to appoint two Republicans to the DeKalb Board of Registrations and Elections. I am pleased to announce that I have formed the DeKalb GOP BoE Nominating Committee which will be led by Alex Johnson who is the DeKalb GOP Legal Counsel and The Georgia Republican Assembly (GRA) President. He will be joined by Anthony Lewis, Current DeKalb GOP Board of Elections Member and Catherine Bernard, Attorney and Brookhaven resident. It is my goal to appoint two Republicans that share our values, will be accountable to the DeKalb GOP and will enforce the Election Integrity Act of More details are outlined below and applications are due by May 24th and the appointments will be announced on June 10, 2021 at our DeKalb GOP County Meeting.
Throughout Georgia we are seeing unprecedented participation and enthusiasm at our events, meetings and conventions. It is coming from new people who are turning their anger into action and advocacy. I was pleased to speak to Bloomberg and was interviewed on The Doug Dahlgren Show on these very topics. I encourage all of you that were elected to be Delegates and Alternates to attend your Congressional and/or GAGOP State Conventions. This will be one of your best networking opportunities to interact with Republicans across the state and to elect the best leadership of the Georgia Republican Party that will lead us to victory. Thank you.
DeKalb GOP Chairman
