December 31, 2022

As Americans across the country gather tonight with family and friends, The DeKalb County Republican Party would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.

For many it is a time reflection as we mark the end of one year and welcome the beginning of another year.   Although each of us can offer our own laundry list of wishes, resolutions and hopes for our nation, there is one core principle to remember.

WE NEED EACH OTHER

When we need each other, we create Win-Win situations.  Together, we can demonstrate the necessary give and take that can lead to tangible outcomes and progress. While each stakeholder may not get everything they want. It does mean that they will get some of what they deem important.  As Republicans, this will ultimately help our nation move forward and be a better place for all.

While 2022 was difficult for many Americans, we must also look back on this year with the knowledge that brighter days are ahead of us – that although our challenges are great, each of us has the courage and determination to rise up and meet them.    Heading into 2023, Democrats find themselves in a crossroads as going too far to the left is backfiring on mainstream America.  Whereas Republicans, if they stay laser focused, have an opportunity to undo the wrongs and failed policies of the Biden – Harris Administration.

In Georgia, we have an incredible opportunity to go hard on the offense to rid out the poison of the Woke and prepare for what promises to be a battleground for the 2024 Presidential Election Cycle.  With a can-do attitude, we can build bridges with the Independents and widen our tent with all Conservatives.  We also can also implement a robust Get-Out-The Vote (GOTV) digital infrastructure and communications program, continue to safeguard our elections to ensure FITness – Faith, Integrity and Trust as well as extend our ability to cultivate and recruit winning candidates.  And most importantly, continue to reenergize the voter base through empowered grassroots volunteers, relationship building and meaningful engagement.

It is that spirit that we ring in the new year, and continue on our journey to work together to #VoteDeKalbRed and #KeepGARed! Happy New Year, everyone and let’s believe in the magic of the year and needing each other.

Warmest Regards,

Marci McCarthy, Chairman
