Barry Zisholtz
House District 86
Bio:
I grew up in Long Island, and did my undergraduate education at the University of Michigan. I went to medical school at New York Medical College, and received a service award at graduation for giving back to the student body, and working on behalf of my class.
I did my internship and residency at Beth Israel, Medical Center in Manhattan, and in 1988 I was recruited to Georgia, to work as Urologist and a multispecialty clinic in Fayetteville Georgia. Within two years, I joined Georgia Urology and I was with Georgia Urology for approximately 32 years.
We grew the practice from for 4 physicians to 48 physicians and I recently retired November 2023. I have been very active in community institutions, such as the Greenfield, Hebrew Academy, Yeshiva Atlanta
and various synagogues on the LaVista Road.

Why do you align with the Republican Party?
My values and vision for this country is very much aligned with the Republican Party. Economic freedom, legal immigration, parental guidance in schools and the right to bear arms are just some of the issues that I am passionate about.
What are your top three reasons for running for office as a Republican?
As a father of four children, and 12 grandchildren if I could help the next generation live a safer world that would be worth all the effort. In today’s society, there are so many pressures that make it much more difficult for our children and grandchildren to succeed. As a retired physician after 36 years, I would like to give back to the state of Georgia, and specifically DeKalb County.
