Jeff Newlin
Senate District 41
Bio:
I grew up with four brothers and a sister in the small, rural town of New London located in north-central Indiana. I attended Purdue University and graduated in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems.
For the past 35 years, I have built a successful business career in the computer software industry spanning startups to publicly traded companies. For the past 25 years I have been a senior executive having responsibilities for global organizational leadership, M&A, operational P&L, and revenue growth. Since 2021, I have served as the Chief Revenue Officer for a privately-held software and technology company focused on the heavy building materials industry.
I have traveled extensively during my career with my travels taking me to all lower-48 States, Europe, and Latin America. These experiences have provided me with a professional and personal global understanding.
I have been married to my wife Christine for 31 years and together we have raised three, now adult children, all of whom graduated from St. Pius X Catholic High School. We are active members of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
I enjoy personal fitness and am an avid runner and cyclist. I am a long-time member of both the Atlanta Track Club and Atlanta Triathlon Club. I have completed five 70.3 Ironman Triathlons and several shorter-form triathlons. Christine and I have participated together in more than 25 Peachtree Road Races.
I have resided in the Atlanta metro area since 1990 and at our current DeKalb County home since 2011.
Why do you align with the Republican Party?
1. I am a lifelong Republican and voted for Ronald Reagan in 1984 which was my first chance to vote.
2. I believe in the foundational principles of the party: low taxes, small government conservatism, strong national defense, free enterprise, free market capitalism, and free trade.
3. I believe it is essential that we minimize the involvement of the federal government in the lives of private citizens and corporations.
What are your top three reasons for running for office as a Republican?
1. To impede the advancement of and reverse the damage done by the progressive left policies that are destroying America’s traditional cultural values.
2. Reduce taxes on citizens and small businesses and eliminate burdensome regulations that hinder innovation and growth and increase operational costs.
3. Work with private industry to create more alternative educational options that will provide non-college bound students a high-earning career path in the trades.
