Mary Williams Benefield
Senate District 55
Bio:
I was born and raised in Decatur, Georgia. Graduated from Shamrock High School and continued my education at Georgia State University. I have three amazing adult children and a beautiful granddaughter. In the primary years of their lives, I chose to be a stay-at-home Mom. Then worked in the small church-school they attended as the Music Teacher. Due to the unexpected cancer death of their Dad, I learned how to juggle three different educational environments simultaneously; home school, private, and public all while working, being involved with extracurricular sports and spending time with family and friends. After seeing my children successfully raised, I re-married and work in the Accounting Services field. I work in a small business to help other small businesses with Bookkeeping & Business Taxes (i.e., Payroll & Sales Tax).
