Overview

Key Dates
March 7 – May 13: Submit an absentee application.
April 25: Last day to register and be eligible to vote.
May 2 – 20: EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING

The DeKalb GOP is strongly recommending that all registered voters, vote early and in-person.
Advance voting for the May 24, 2022 General Primary:
Weekdays May 2 to May 20 7 AM – 7 PM
Saturdays May 7 and May 14 9 AM – 6 PM
Sundays May 8 and May 15 Noon – 5 PM
The law on absentee ballots has changed. You may only use the official application above to request an absentee ballot. Read the application carefully. You are now required to provide either a Georgia Driver’s License or Georgia ID Card number or a copy of another form of ID. If you do not have an acceptable ID, you can get one free of charge from our office or the Department of Driver Services. Click here for more information about Georgia’s ID requirements.

Instructions for Marking and Returning an Absentee Ballot
The DeKalb Voter Registration & Elections Office must receive your ballot by 7 pm on election day. We urge voters to mail their ballots back at least a week before election day. For more information about absentee ballots, visit the Secretary of State’s page.
On election day, you must vote at your assigned precinct. You can find your precinct using the My Voter Page.
